SetupCast Demo Site

Click here to return to the main SetupCast website

SetupCast uses information about your product releases to generate web pages that provide your visitors with things like:

  • Product Logo
  • Product Name
  • Product Version
  • Release Date
  • Release Notes
  • Hyperlinks to download installers and web updaters
  • RSS Feeds for download and update information

The generated files (and optionally your installer files) are then published to your website.  These can be displayed directly or integrated into your own web pages.

You are 100% in control of the look and feel of the generated content.  Sample templates are provided that you can use “as is”, or you can modify them or create your own.  The templates require no web programming knowledge.  They are just simple HTML pages with tokens embedded in them.  SetupCast replaces the tokens with its data and generates the final page for you.

The main purpose for this demo website is to illustrate different ways that you can integrate the content generated by SetupCast into your own website.

Currently there are examples using these methods:

  • Direct linking to the external HTML files
  • Using FancyBox to display the external HTML files in a DHTML window
  • Using IFrames to integrate the external HTML files into your web page.

Later on we will add examples using these methods:

  • SSI (Server Side Includes)
  • PHP Includes

Note: this website is all about a fictional product called CoolApp.  The downloads and file information are just samples (not real installers).
